    Description

1970's Era British Leyland Door/Trunk Key fits many Makes/Models
    This
    62FE
key is used on doors and trunks of various British vehicles from 1970 through 1981 (+/- a few years either way).   It also goes by the following other part numbers, depending on manufacturer:  SR3, BR17, F79E, T72C, ST4, UN24, or STR1.
It is used on British Leyland cars with STREBOR locks, so if your original keys say "Strebor", that is a good sign.
Here is a partial list of POSSIBLE fitment candidates:
MG: some doors/trunks 1970-1981,  MGB Glove Box  1970-1981
    Lotus: some doors/trunks 1970-1976, Esprit some doors/trunk 1970-1994
Triumph:  Various applications (including some ignition) 1960-1970, Some doors/trunk 1970-1981
    Jaguar: Some Doors/Trunk 1973-1975
    Ford: Cortina 1970 Doors/Trunk
    Aston Martin: 1970-1980 Some doors/trunk
    Austin: 1970-1980 Some doors/trunk
    Rover: 1970-1980 Some doors/trunk
Some 1970's Jensen Healey TRUNK  (Check key code, also used FC7)
    KEY CODE SERIES
Stamped on your original keys or possibly your ignition bezel:
    SF 101-199, SO 001-099,  SR 301-399,  SS 201-299
During this period, British Leyland also used a
    62F
    S and 62FT
key with a different keyway, so please compare your key closely.   See Pic #4!   I have the 62FS and 62FT available in my ebay store!
A certain sign that this is the key you need is if you have an original key with a key code stamped on it starting SF, SO, SR, or SS with the correct number range as specified above.  If you key does not have one of these codes stamped on it, send me pics!
I have a couple different versions of these keys in both nickel plate and brass.  I reserve the right to send one by a different manufacturer/finish than pictured.
I also have the corresponding IGNITION key for most 1970's British vehicles, as well.
Please feel free to ask questions or
    send me pics
of your existing keys prior to purchase. I would be happy to assist you in your quest.
THANKS FOR LOOKING AND HAPPY MOTORING!
